Please note, if we are experiencing a high volume of orders, order processing and shipment may be delayed by a few days. Delivery delays may occasionally occur, so we cannot guarantee delivery dates. Orders are not shipped on weekends or holidays.
In Store Pick Up
You can save on shipping by choosing In Store Pickup during checkout. After placing an order, you will receive an initial order confirmation email. We will email you again to notify you when the order is ready for pick up.
If your order contains items that are “Likely On Our Shelves Now,” they will likely be available within 1 business day. If your order contains items that are “Not On Our Shelves – Available to Order,” we will notify you that these items are on order and contact you again when they arrive for pick up.
If you are looking to pick up your order of in-stock titles within a much shorter timeframe, please call the store at (203) 245-3959 and place your order over the phone.
All orders placed using In-store Pickup may be picked up at the Information Desk in the front of the store, or at The Book Stop pick-up window. The window is located to the right of the main entrance, around the corner, down Book Lovers Lane.
Domestic Shipping
After your initial order confirmation email, you will receive another email notifying you when your order has been processed.
- If all items are in stock, you will receive an email that your order is being packed.
- If the order contains “Not On Our Shelves – Available to Order” titles, we will notify you that they are on order, and the complete order will ship when all titles arrive in store.
- If your order contains Pre-Order titles, those Pre-Order titles will be shipped separately on or shortly after their release date.
Tracking information will be emailed to you separately when your order ships.
Shipping Rates
Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed during checkout and may vary based on your cart's contents.
International Shipping
We are unable to offer International Shipping at this time.
Gift Cards
We ship gift cards by first class mail. There is no charge for mailing gift cards. We are also pleased to offer eGift Cards, which are delivered by email.
Local Delivery
RJ Julia Booksellers is also pleased to offer Local Delivery in the following zip codes: 06443, 06413, 06537, 06498, 06475, 06419, 06405. Local delivery is available for orders over $75.00. Please note, your delivery may be delayed if it contains “Not On Our Shelves – Available to Order” items.

You can login to the website at any time to check the status of the order or the tracking number for shipping.
